The book spans the four-year transformation of creative freshmen to feral New Yorkers as it explores the subtle difference between art students and junkies. Sloane becomes a city within a city, teeming with a colorful portfolio of art and politics, sex and drugs, rooftops and nightclubs, booze and overdoses.
Wait — you’re a visual artist not a writer. Stay in your lane. Why not just draw some pictures or do a graphic novel? Because to me sometimes pictures can feel acoustic — and Sloane was totally electric.
